One in a series of interviews and conversations about music in the Middle East.
These wonderful clips are from a recently completed movie that celebrates Iraqi music; and one man’s quest to understand the “hidden - and almost erased” story behind the contributions of Jewish musicians to the legendary Iraqi music, that he and Iraqis from around the world, have loved for decades.
Both clips offer excellent bilingual Arabic and English content, as well as interesting and significant cultural content, for anyone who is interested in (and loves) music from the Middle East. The name of the movie is On the Banks of the Tigris.
